As an anti-gay amendment sits in committee in both the NC House and Senate, pro-equality and anti-gay groups are making their case in Raleigh today. Our partners, Equality NC, are hosting a pro-equality press conference featuring religious leaders and sponsoring a day of virtual action to oppose the amendment (Senate Bill 106/House Bill 777). Meanwhile, an anti-gay rally is being sponsored by Return America.
If the bill does not move out of committee before June 9, it will dead for this session.
