“8” (the Play) Comes to Asheville for One Night Only

April 5, 2012 in Events by Jasmine Beach-Ferrara

What are you doing on the evening of April 10? (Besides participating in public comments as Asheville City Council votes on a resolution opposing Amendment One, of course!)

We’re really excited for the one-night only performance of “8,” Dustin Lance Black’s new play, based on the transcripts from the Proposition 8 Federal District Court trial in California. It will feature local readers, including some of the couples who have taken part in the WE DO Campaign. After the performance, CSE staff will be taking part in a panel discussion about LGBT rights.

Tickets are going fast. Here’s all you need to know:

Where: Diana Wortham Theater, downtown Asheville

When: Tuesday, April 10; 7 – 10 PM

For tickets:

  • Purchase tickets (Diana Wortham Theatre Box Office): http://purchase.tickets.com/buy/TicketPurchase?organ_val=354&event_val=NCS1
