We subscribe to the philosophy of paying very close attention to what the other side is doing. On May 17, an estimated 3,500 people converged in Raleigh, NC, to express their opposition to marriage equality in a rally sponsored by Return America and attended by national figures such as Tony Perkins. For a Tuesday, that’s a strong turn out and that’s one measure of the opposition to LGBT equality in North Carolina. The proposed anti-marriage amendment continues to sit in committee in both the State House and State Senate. Coverage of the rally can be found here.
