Know Your Rights, Protect Your Rights

April 3, 2012 in Community Law Workshops by Jasmine Beach-Ferrara

As we approach the May 8, 2012 vote on Amendment One  – which proposes to restrict our fundamental rights as LGBT people – CSE invites you to step up to protect your and your family’s rights.

Join us for a free Community Law Workshop focused on LGBT Estate Planning, which will include everything from health care power of attorney to wills. This CLW is designed for LGBT people of all ages and all incomes and puts tools directly in your hands to protect your rights. Thanks to the attorneys facilitating this, our co-host, First Congregational UCC of Asheville, and our co-sponsors (listed below) for making it possible for this to be a free event.

LGBT Estate Planning: Know Your Rights, Protect Your Rights

Dates:

  • Part I: Saturday, April, 21, 2012: 10 AM – 12 PM; Topics: overview, powers of attorney and advanced directives
  • Part II: Saturday, April, 28, 2012: 10 AM – 12 PM; Topics: wills, trusts, and other tools to achieve your goals
