The Trans in the South guide is a directory of nearly 400 Southern health and legal service providers that the Campaign for Southern Equality team has confirmed to be trans-friendly and trans-competent.
The guide builds on a rich history of trans and queer people navigating the healthcare and legal systems at the local and state level, and we would be remiss to not elevate and point to the many other resources that trans Southerners have found helpful.
Collected here are additional resources, including other resource guides that may have more detail or other offerings depending on your state, region, or interest area. Thank you to every activist and advocate who works to make the world an easier place to navigate for trans and queer folks.
Update
Access to transgender-related healthcare is an evolving issue in the South and all across the country right now – with some medical providers suspending specific services because of anti-transgender laws or policies that have been passed or introduced. We encourage you to use the Trans in the South guide as a starting point for your research but to please be in touch with providers directly to understand which services they are offering at this time. The Campaign for Southern Equality sends support as you navigate this challenging time and will continue working with partners and providers across the South to increase access to care.
