Since 2021, Campaign for Southern Equality’s Healing & Resilience Program has been honored to offer micro grants to BIPOC wellness practitioners living in the South, who dedicate their services to LGBTQ+ people. In that time we have awarded and connected with approximately 60 groups and individuals doing incredible work. This year we are deepening our partnerships and strengthening the support to local practitioners with the Southern Healer’s Fellowship, for BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, Person of Color), LGBTQ+, Southern healers! If you have a credentialed, long-standing, or demonstrated practice as a counselor, a therapist, a reiki practitioner, a yoga instructor, a somatics coach, or some other wellness practitioner or community builder please apply by April 4!
Scope of the Fellowship
- Five fellows will be selected
- Fellowships will take place April – September 2025
- Fellows will work approximately 5 hours per week
- Each fellow will receive a $5000 stipend

Who Is Eligible
Eligible applicants will be:
1) LGBTQ+, BIPOC, Southern wellness practitioners or cultural workers who are seasoned and experienced as defined by either being licensed or credentialed, and/or having at least five (5) years experience in their field with a demonstrated track record;
2) Already engaged in connecting with a number of people in our region and/or already have an ongoing program that they are engaged in
Requirements of Fellows
Fellows must complete the following during the course of their felowship:
- Attend monthly peer support meetings with other Fellows; (virtual)
- Attend three (3) one-on-one sessions with Holiday
- Attend at least one (1) CSE event virtual or in-person in order to assist with facilitation
- Present a project or presentation focused on healing and resilience in the LGBTQ+ South at the end of the fellowship
Payment and Tax Liabilities
Fellows will be paid on a monthly basis via direct deposit. Fellows will be responsible for taxes on the $5,000 stipend as individual income unless funding is directed to a non-profit organization where they are a staff member.
