Marriage equality is the law of the land, but what else can you do to protect your family? How can you ensure you are legally recognized as your child’s parent? If you’re not married, how can you protect your family?
To answer these and other questions you have about LGBT family rights in North Carolina, the Campaign for Southern Equality is hosting a free legal workshop on LGBT Family Law.
Event details are:
Thursday, October 22, 5:30 to 7 p.m.
Trinity Episcopal Church
60 Church Street, Asheville, NC
The workshop will be led by CSE Legal Team leaders Meghann Burke of Brazil & Burke, P.A. and Diane “Dizy” Walton of the Walton Law Office.
This interactive workshop will focus on what LGBT families in North Carolina need to know to be fully protected under current law.
We know that many of you have kiddos, so free childcare will be provided. We’ll also have light snacks and pizzas.
