On January 16th, USA Today covered the WE DO Campaign with an article titled, “Gay-marriage supporters take aim at the South.” For those unfamiliar with the WE DO Campaign, the mix of strategy, organizing and intention can sometimes be tricky to navigate, but one sentence from the USA Today article explains a lot about why we take these actions:
For Monty Garrish and Steve Myszak, a couple who live in Wilson, N.C., participating in WE DO meant holding hands in their hometown for the first time in their 18-year relationship.
