WE DO Campaign: January 19, 2012 Action

On January 19, 2012, Maddy Trilling and Olivia Hope Parris, a same-sex couple in Charleston, SC, requested and were denied a marriage license, as the WE DO Campaign expanded further south across South Carolina. They were denied the opportunity to even complete a marriage license application form. They were accompanied by a team of supporters, all allies, who stood with them as they took this action.
