“Those calling for the legalization of same-sex marriage took their effort to the upstate Tuesday. Three couples were backed by dozens of supporters and the Campaign for Southern Equality as they asked for marriage licenses at the Greenville County Probate Court. The couples were denied as they expected they would be. They plan a series of events throughout the week as part of the “We Do” campaign.”
