Responding to the U.S. Supreme Court Ruling Restricting Abortion Access

June 24, 2022 in News by Adam Polaski

Our hearts are heavy right now as we react to the Dobbs ruling, which overturns Roe v. Wade and the right to choose and will make abortion access difficult or impossible in much of the South. Your right to access the reproductive health care you need and make deeply personal choices should not depend on your zip code – and yet now it will due to this extreme ruling.

In this difficult moment we want to send our support to everyone in the CSE community and ask you to join us in standing with the incredible groups, organizers and providers on the frontlines of this issue across the South.

Please consider rushing an emergency donation to one or more of these incredible organizations which helps people access the care they need and deserve:

  • ARC Southeast supports Southerners in AL, FL, GA, SC, MS, and TN. You can donate here toward funding and logistical support to ensure Southerners receive safe and compassionate reproductive care including abortion services.
  • Your donation to the Carolina Abortion Fund helps resource low-income patients needing help paying for their abortion care across NC and SC.
  • The Mississippi Reproductive Freedom Fund is offering financial assistance and practical support to persons seeking abortion as well as free emergency contraception, community based comprehensive sex education and fighting for reproductive justice in Mississippi. Donate here.
  • Your donation to The Brigid Alliance helps support people nationwide forced to travel long distances for abortion care, covering the logistics and expenses of food, travel, lodging, childcare, and more.
