RSVP: Support Group for Families of Trans Youth

June 24, 2025 in Uncategorized by Emma Chinn

In the wake of the Supreme Court’s decision in U.S. v. Skrmetti, we are hosting a Support Group for Families of Trans Youth, facilitated by Campaign for Southern Equality’s Kenni Cummings. We know that many families of transgender youth are reeling from last week’s Supreme Court decision in U.S. v. Skrmetti. The Court ruled in favor of Tennessee’s ban on youth gender-affirming care, meaning that, for now, state laws banning youth gender-affirming can stand. For many families of transgender youth, this ruling means you must continue to travel accross state lines to get the healthcare your child needs. We know many of you are hurting and angry, as the legal systems that should protect your rights is instead causing deep harm. We want you to know that you are not alone– this community space is for you to connect with other families like yours, process your feelings, and share your tips for navigating the post-Skrmetti reality. RSVP using the form below.

Please join us Thursday, June 26th, at 6PM EST/5PM CST.

Need immediate support? If you need help finding out-of-state providers of gender-affirming care or funding for travel, mental health expenses, or whatever you need, please get in touch here.
