Cruel laws banning best-practice gender-affirming care have passed in 26 states across the country – and the Trump Administration has attempted to further restrict access to care. As a result, thousands of transgender youth and their families are being forced to identify new healthcare providers, travel extreme distances, and take on significant expenses just to get the care they need.
The Trans Youth Emergency Project is here to help families navigate this complex and exhausting maze, offering logistical and financial support. Our team provides 1-on-1 custom patient navigation services to unimpacted providers and supports families of transgender youth with emergency grants to help them travel for care.
Donate to Help Trans Youth Access Healthcare
Access to lifesaving healthcare for transgender youth is being attacked at the state and federal level, leaving families in need of support. The Trans Youth Emergency Project is here to help. Make a donation now to support trans youth and their families.

Patient Navigation
We help families understand their options for continuing care with providers that are not impacted by state or federal restrictions, including referrals to medical providers in the regional network CSE has worked to coordinate.
Emergency Grants
Families of trans youth can receive grants of $500 to support immediate needs, including travel expenses, medication costs, and mental health or wellness needs. These grants are renewable four times per year.
Ecosystem of Care
We operate as an info hub about anti-trans healthcare restrictions, networking with community partners, families, and providers.

Documenting the Crisis
A key part of our work at the Trans Youth Emergency Project is documenting the crisis of transgender youth being prohibited from accessing gender-affirming care. We’re working with reporters all across the country to share the stories of impacted families and get the word out of the enormous barriers and burdens that these bans impose.
